Under the direction of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha & College Managing Committee and in Collaboration with Guru Nanak Sewa Mission, Ludhiana, 550^th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev ji was celebrated by the department of Music and Punjabi, in Auditorium, SDP College for Women, Daresi Road on 31st October 2019. Sh Lekh Raj Arora, Vice-President, College Managing Committee presided over the occasion. S Rajinder Singh, Manager, S. Sudarshan Singh Dua, Retd Prof. Government College, Rara Sahib, S. Sarbjit Singh, Journalism Dept., PAU, Smt Amarjit Kaur, Smt Mansi Kaur were the honourable guests. They all were accorded a very warm welcome by Officiating Principal. On this sacred occasion, the students delivered speech, recited passionate poetry, chanted shabad and devotional songs on the life and teachings of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. S. Sarbjit Singh, Journalism Dept., PAU, in his speech shared the philosophy of ‘Ek Onkar’ and underlined Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s impetus on ‘love all,  help all’. Gurbani Kanth competition was also organised, wherein the students participated enthusiastically. Sh Lekh Raj Arora, Vice-President, College Managing Committee, appreciated the great efforts done by Guru Nanak Sewa Mission. Officiating Principal proposed a vote of thanks to the honourable guests. She also Towards the end, Guest of Honour was given to all the dignitaries whereas the participants were awarded with trophies.
