SDP Institutions, Ludhiana celebrated 75years of progressive Independent India with great nationalistic fervour under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. All SDP Educational Institutions viz a viz SDP Sr.Sec School, Hazoori Road, SDP Sr. Sec .School, Basti Jodhewal, Sri Om Parkash Gupta SDP Model Sr.Sec. School, Quilla Mohalla, Sh. Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Dugri and SDP Collegiate Sen. Sec. School jointly celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. Students of all SDP institutions, with tri-coloured flags in their hands and raising slogans "Bharat Mata Ki Jai' celebrated the day.
Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President SDP Sabha (Regd) and SDP Institutions, Ludhiana was the Chief Guest of the day. Members who were present - Sh Lekh Raj Arora, Vice-President, Sh HK Chugh, General Secretary, Sh. Rajinder Soi, Sh Om Parkash Angrish, Sh. Gulshan Lal Thakural, Sh Parveen Sharma, Sh Deepak Kapoor, Sh Vijay Inder Gupta, Sh Ishan Gupta and Dr SM Sharma, Director.All the Head of the Institutions, Dr. Ravi Kant, Principal, Sh Jasveer Chauhan, Principal, Dr Sanjeev Bindra, Principal, Ms Raman Oberoi, Principal, and Ms. Indu Khurana, Incharge and S. Harminder Singh accorded a floral welcome to President.Escorted by NCC Cadets, the Chief Guest gracefully hoisted the National Flag, while the school band played the welcome tune. The students presented cultural and patriotic feast to commemorate the sweet memories and contributions of legendary heroes of Independence. Patriotic songs, Group Dance, Mime, Skit, Bhangra and Choreography on ‘Patriotism’ and `National Integration 'brought a splash of colour to the celebrations.
Hon’ble Chief Guest Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin enlightened the audience about the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’. He also made the students aware about the supreme sacrifices of great martyrs who gave their lives for the sake of freedom. Sh HK Chugh, General Secretary, thanked the Chief Guest for his efforts to take SDP Institutions to the pinnacle of glory. The celebration concluded with distribution of sweets amongst the students.
