SDP College for Women Celebrates Teej with Great Cultural and Aesthetic Gaiety

Under the supreme guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha(Regd.) & College Managing Committee, Teej  was celebrated by SDP College for Women, Ludhiana with traditional zeal and fervour today in College Campus.  Ms. Sudesh Bhalla, Offg. Principal presided over the function. Smt. Kiran Chugh and Mrs. Preety Chugh graced the function with their benign presence. The students dressed in Punjabi traditional attires also donned colourful phulkaris and embellished jewellery. They looked mesmerizing in Punjabi cultural outfits. They also danced to the melodious tunes of Punjabi folk songs. A variety of stalls gave a vibrant look to the festival. A perfect ambience was created to mark the festivity by organizing various competitions such as Bangles, Mehandi, Jutti and Paranda competition. Speaking on the occasion, Ms Sudesh Bhalla, Officiating Principal said that celebration of such festivals is a way of reviving and keeping alive the traditions and customs which are vanishing these days. She further appreciated the efforts of the organising Committee.
