SDP College for Women Celebrates the Festival of Lohri with immense Zeal

Under the able and expert guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, the Festival of Lohri was celebrated by the Department of Commerce, SDP College for Women with great fervor. On this vivacious occasion, a Kite flying activity was organized. The Students had an exciting time by participating in this activity. They flew their colourfull kites and in no time, the sky was beautifully adorned by vibrant coloured kites. Following the Punjabi tradition, the holy bonfire was lit along with the cultural performances like Gidha, Boliya and Lohri Songs by students. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, Ms. Sudesh Bhalla, Teaching and Non-Teaching members worshipped the holy bonfire and seeked divine bleesings of almighty for the prosperous New Year and progressive days ahead. Popcorns, sweets, and peanuts were distributed to all. Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha, Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, and Ms. Sudesh Bhalla applauded the spirit of togetherness and appreciated the efforts done by the Department of Commerce. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal expressed her kind wishes for everyone. She also encouraged the students to value their rich cultural heritage.

एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में लोहड़ी का त्योहार बड़े हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया गया

दिनांक 13 जनवरी, 2024 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन जी की प्रेरणा से कॉलेज के वाणिज्य विभाग द्वारा लोहड़ी का त्योहार बड़े उत्साह के साथ मनाया गया। इस उत्साहपूर्ण अवसर पर पतंग उड़ाने की गतिविधि का आयोजन किया गया। इस गतिविधि में भाग लेकर छात्राओं ने रोमांचक समय बिताया। उन्होंने अपनी रंग-बिरंगी पतंगें उड़ाईं और कुछ ही देर में आसमान रंग-बिरंगी पतंगों की खूबसूरती से सज गया। पंजाबी परंपरा का पालन करते हुए  छात्राओं  द्वारा गिद्दा, बोलिया और लोहड़ी गीत जैसी सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियों के साथ पवित्र लोहड़ी जलाई। डॉ. नीतू हांडा, प्रिंसिपल, श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला, शिक्षण और गैर-शिक्षण सदस्यों ने पवित्र लोहड़ी की पूजा की और नए साल और आने वाले प्रगतिशील दिनों के लिए ईश्वर से आशीर्वाद मांगा। सभी को पॉपकॉर्न, मिठाइयाँ और मूंगफली वितरित की गईं। एस.डी.पी सभा के अध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन, प्रिंसिपल डॉ. नीतू हांडा और श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला ने एकजुटता की भावना की सराहना की और वाणिज्य विभाग द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना की। प्रिंसिपल डॉ.नीतू हांडा ने सभी के लिए अपनी शुभकामनाएं व्यक्त की। उन्होंने छात्राओं को अपनी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत को महत्व देने के लिए भी प्रोत्साहित किया।
