SDP College for Women Organises an Industrial Visit to Sharman Spinning Mills (P) Ltd., Ludhiana

Under the expert guidance and stewardship of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha (Regd.) and College ManagingCommittee, an Industrial Visit to Sharman Spinning Mills,Ludhiana was arranged by Career Guidance and Placement Cell, SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. A group of 30 students, accompanied by Ms. Ruby and Ms. Saminder Kaur from Career Guidance and Placement Cell, visited the place with the aim of getting technical knowledge of manufacturing fabrics and bridging the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge.During the visit, students were apprised of the complete manufacturing process from spinning of wool fibres to production of shawls. The students and teachers thanked the whole staff of the Mill for giving them an opportunity to learn things practically in real-time functional environment. Sh. BalrajKumar Bhasin, SDP Sabha and Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, applauded the efforts done by the Career Guidance and Placement Cell and encouraged them to organise more such visits for students to learn beyond the four walls of the collegeand get first-hand experience of industrial space. 

एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन ने शरमन स्पिनिंग मिल्स (पी) लिमिटेड, लुधियाना में एक औद्योगिक दौरे का किया आयोजन

दिनांक 12 मार्च, 2024 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी.कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में सभाध्यक्षश्री बलराज कुमार भसीन जी की प्रेरणा से कॉलेज के कैरियर मार्गदर्शन और प्लेसमेंट सेल द्वारा शरमन स्पिनिंग मिल्स, लुधियाना का एक औद्योगिक दौरा आयोजित किया गया। कैरियर मार्गदर्शन और प्लेसमेंट सेल से श्रीमती रूबी और श्रीमती समिंदर कौर के साथ 30 छात्राओं के एक समूह ने कपड़े के निर्माण का तकनीकी ज्ञान प्राप्त करने और सैद्धांतिक और व्यावहारिक ज्ञान के बीच अंतर को समझने के उद्देश्य से उस स्थान का दौरा किया। यात्रा के दौरान, छात्राओं को ऊनी रेशों की कताई से लेकर शॉल के उत्पादन तक की पूरी निर्माण प्रक्रिया से अवगत कराया गया। छात्राओं और शिक्षकों ने मिल के पूरे स्टाफ को वास्तविक समय के कार्यात्मक वातावरण में व्यावहारिक रूप से चीजों को सीखने का अवसर देने के लिए धन्यवाद दिया। सभाध्यक्षश्री बलराज कुमार भसीन और डॉ. नीतू हांडा, प्रिंसिपल ने कैरियर मार्गदर्शन और प्लेसमेंट सेल द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना की और उन्हें छात्राओंको कॉलेज की चार दीवारों से परे सीखने और प्रत्यक्ष अनुभव प्राप्त करने के लिए इस तरह के और दौरे आयोजित करने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया।
