SDP College for Women Concludes its 7 Days and Night NSS Camp with a Grand Valedictory Function

Under the supreme guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, esteemed President, S.D.P. Sabha and College Managing Committee, the 7 Days and Night NSS Camp at SDP College for Women, Ludhiana, concluded with a series of enriching activities and a grand valedictory function. The day commenced with a serene morning prayer and yoga & meditation session, setting a reflective and positive tone. This was followed by a Chart Making competition, where the participants displayed their artistic ingenuity and collaborative spirit. The Valedictory Function, presided over by Principal Dr. Neetu Handa as the Chief Guest, became the highlight of the day, with her inspiring address lauding the volunteers for their unwavering commitment and service throughout the camp. Spanning an entire week, the NSS Camp emphasized pivotal themes such as Swachhata Hi Seva, Environment and Sustainability, Health and Hygiene, and Youth for Digital Literacy. A plethora of activities and competitions enriched the program, including cleanliness drives, impactful social service initiatives, a rally advocating digital literacy, a comprehensive medical check-up campaign, and exploratory visits to Noorwala, Kasabad, and Sujatwal villages. Events like chart-making, speech, and Rangoli competitions provided students with a platform to creatively engage with these themes, reinforcing their relevance and importance. In a gesture of recognition and encouragement, the best volunteers and winners of various competitions were honored with certificates and prizes during the Valedictory Function. This acknowledgment served to motivate and celebrate the participants' dedication and accomplishments. The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by the NSS Program Officers, Ms. Sukhjinder Kaur, Ms. Reena Rani, and Ms. Preeti Narula, expressing gratitude to all participants and supporters of the camp. Dr. Neetu Handa encouraged the volunteers to continue embodying the spirit of service and social responsibility in their lives.
