S.D.P College For Women, Ludhiana Commemorates World Health Day With Awareness Lecture

Under the inspiration and guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, esteemed President, the NSS unit of SDP College for Women, Ludhiana along with the Home Science and Physical Education departments, took the initiative, marked ‘World Health Day’by organizing an awareness program on Dengue and Chikungunya, highlighting two major health threats in the region. The event, held in the college campus, aimed to educate students and the community about the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures of these diseases. The program included expert talks, interactive sessions, and the distribution of informative pamphlets. Dr. Navjot emphasized the importance of community engagement, stating they are religiously committed to promoting health awareness and empowering community to take proactive steps against Dengue and Chikungunya.  Madam Kuljeet from the municipal corporation, distributed pamphlets to raise awareness. Revered Madam Principal Neetu Handa, also spoke to students, urging them to build strong immunity as a defense against such diseases. The event concluded with a pledge to unanimously fight against Dengue and Chikungunya, ensuring a healthier future for all.

एस.डी.पी. कॉलेज फॉर विमैन ने 'विश्व स्वास्थ्य दिवस’ मनाया गया

दिनांक 07 अप्रैल, 2025 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन जी की प्रेरणा से एनएसएस इकाई ने होम साइंस और फिजिकल एजुकेशन विभागों के साथ मिलकर 'विश्व स्वास्थ्य दिवस' के अवसर पर डेंगू और चिकनगुनिया के बारे में जागरूकता कार्यक्रम आयोजित किया, जो इस क्षेत्र में दो प्रमुख स्वास्थ्य खतरों को उजागर करता है। कार्यक्रम का उद्देश्य छात्राओं और समुदाय को इन बीमारियों के कारण, लक्षण और बचाव के उपायों के बारे में शिक्षित करना था। कार्यक्रम में विशेषज्ञों द्वारा व्याख्यान, इंटरएक्टिव सत्र और जानकारीपूर्ण पेम्पलेट्स वितरित किए गए। डॉ. नवजोत ने समुदाय की भागीदारी के महत्व पर जोर देते हुए कहा कि वे स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता को बढ़ावा देने और समुदाय को डेंगू और चिकनगुनिया के खिलाफ सक्रिय कदम उठाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध हैं। नगर निगम की श्रीमती कुलजीत ने जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए पेम्पलेट्स वितरित किए। प्रिंसिपल डॉ. नीतू हांडा ने भी छात्राओं को संबोधित करते हुए उन्हें ऐसी बीमारियों के खिलाफ रक्षा के रूप में मजबूत इम्यूनिटी बनाने की सलाह दी। कार्यक्रम का समापन डेंगू और चिकनगुनिया के खिलाफ मिलकर लड़ने का संकल्प लेते हुए हुआ, ताकि सभी के लिए एक स्वस्थ भविष्य सुनिश्चित किया जा सके।
