SDP College for Women Observes World Hypertension Day

Under the able guidance and inspiration of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, esteemed President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, an insightful extension lecture titled "Hypertension: A Silent Killer" was organised by the Red Ribbon Club of SDP College for Women, Ludhiana in observance of World Hypertension Day. The resource person, Dr. Navjot Kaur, a distinguished medical expert, was warmly welcomed by Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, along with members of the Red Ribbon Club. In her compelling address, Dr. Kaur highlighted the growing prevalence of hypertension, especially among the younger population, emphasizing its asymptomatic nature and potential to cause severe health complications if left unmanaged. She elaborated on risk factors, preventive strategies, and the importance of regular health screenings. The interactive session saw enthusiastic participation from students, who benefitted greatly from the practical advice and awareness shared. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal, extended a formal vote of thanks to the resource person and commended the Red Ribbon Club for organizing such a relevant and impactful event aligned with global health awareness efforts.
