SDP College for Women Celebrates Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s Pious Birthday, the First Sikh Guru

Under the sole inspiration of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, the first Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s birthday was celebrated by the Department of Punjabi and Music with great devotion and enthusiasm. To mark the pious occasion, the faculty members as well as students chanted Japji Sahib Path, which filled the atmosphere with divine serenity. It was followed by a melodious Shabad Gayan, beautifully recited by the students of Music Department. A large no. of students attended the shabad kirtan. On this occasion of holy Parkash Utsav, Langer was also organized in the college premises wherein teaching, non-teaching staff and students participated in Langer seva with religious fervour. The College Principal motivated the students to follow the prinicples of Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She further appreciated the efforts put in by all the faculty members and wished Happy Gurupurab to all.
