SDP College Holds Organ Donation Awareness Drive

Under the able guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha (Regd.) and college managing committee, BBA and BCA Department of S.D.P. College for Women, Ludhiana, organised an Organ Donation Awareness Drive, under the “Jug Jug Jiyo Abhiyaan” initiated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The campaign aimed to sensitise students about the importance of organ donation and transplantation.

As part of the drive, an organ donation pledge was administered to students and faculty members, encouraging them to support the cause of voluntary organ donation. A poster-making competition was also organised, in which students participated enthusiastically and conveyed messages highlighting the importance of organ donation through their creative work.

The programme witnessed active participation from the college community and helped create awareness about the significance of organ donation as a means of giving others a chance at life.

Dr. Ranjana Sood, Officiating Principal, appreciated the participation of the students and faculty members and encouraged them to spread awareness about organ donation and contribute towards building a socially responsible society.
