SDP College for Women Celebrates Teej in all its Exuberance and Glory!

Under the supreme guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha(Regd.) & College Managing Committee, Teej was celebrated by SDP College for Women and SDP Collegiate Sen. Sec. School, Ludhiana with traditional zeal and fervour. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal presided over the function. The students dressed in Punjabi traditional attires also donned colourful phulkaris and embellished jewellery. They looked mesmerizing in Punjabi cultural outfits. They also danced to the melodious tunes of Punjabi folk songs. The whole event was made alive with energetic performances by students. To create a perfect ambience for celebration a swing was installed in the college premises. Various competitions such as Bangles, Mehandi, Jutti, Paranda etc. were organized to mark the festivity. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal said that celebration of such festivals is a way of reviving and keeping alive the traditions and customs which are vanishing these days. She also appreciated the efforts of the students.
