Under the sole inspiration of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha (Regd) & College Managing Committee, International Women’s Day was celebrated by the Department of NSS, NCC and Youth Services Club of SDP College for Women. Officiating Principal presided over the occasion. To honour womanhood, the students recited poems and shared their views. A Nukkad Natak on the theme ‘Women Empowerment’ was also enacted by the students of Department of Political Science. Officiating principal in her speech stressed on the fact that everyday should be celebrated as Women’s day. She also stressed on gender equality and said that women and men should be treated equally in social, economic and all other aspects of society. She appreciated the efforts done by the Department of Political Science.
