SDP Educational Institutions Celebrate Republic Day with utmost Grandeur !

MAIN HIGHLIGHTS: Republic Day was celebrated by SDP Educational Institutions with great grandeur and pride. All SDP Institutions viz SDP College for Women, SDP Sr. Sec. School Hazoori Road, SDP Sr Sec School, Basti Jodhewal, Sri Om Parkash Gupta, SDP Model Sr Sec School, Sh. Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, and SDP Collegiate Sen. Sec. School jointly celebrated the occasion. More than 2000 students of all SDP Institutions marched through the streets to reach the venue of celebration with tri-colour flags in their hands and raising slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

 

Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President SDP, Sabha (Regd) and College Managing Committee was the Chief Guest. All the Heads of SDP Institutions, Ms Sudesh Bhalla, Officiating Principal, Dr Sanjeev Bindra, Principal, Sh Jasveer Chauhan, Principal, Ms Raman Oberoi and Ms Indu Khurana, In-charge, accorded a floral welcome to the Chief Guest. Escorted by NCC Cadets, and School Girls Band, the Chief Guest, Mr. Bhasin gracefully marched forward to hoist the National Flag, while the school band played the welcome tune. As the Chief Guest unfurled the flag, the national anthem ignited the spirit and passion of patriotism and love for the motherland amongst everyone. The students took pride in celebrating the spirit of unity and brotherhood by presenting a plethora of cultural and patriotic events including Patriotic songs, Folk Dance, Giddha, Bhangra and Choreography on ‘Patriotism’.

Addressing the audience, Hon’ble Chief Guest, Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin said that Republic Day symbolises the right spirit of Independent India. He apprised the students about the glorious past of India by remembering the freedom fighters and glorified the present India, which has excelled in every field especially IT, Sports, Space and Education. He also made the students aware that the future of the country lies in their hands. Hence, they need to study well and inculcate good values in their lives, which will help them to become good citizens of the country. Sh. HK Chugh, General Secretary thanked the Chief Guest and other guests for their efforts to take SDP Institutions to the pinnacle of Glory. The celebration concluded with distribution of sweets amongst the students.
