SDP College for Women organizes One Day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Design Thinking’

Under the able guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha (Regd.) and College Managing Committee, One Day Faculty Development Programme on ‘Design Thinking’was jointly organised by the Departments of B.A.B.Ed. and Social Sciences, SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. Dr. Monika Dua, Principal, B.C.M. College of Education, Ludhiana was the resource person. Participants comprised of students and faculty members from S.D.P. College for women, Ludhiana and Teachers from S.D.P. Collegiate Girls Senior Secondary School, S.D.P. Senior Secondary School, Hazuri Road, S.D.P. Senior Secondary School, Basti Jodhewal and Sh. O.P. Gupta Model Senior Secondary School and Sh. Ram Lal Bhasin public school, Dugri, Ludhiana. The resource person was warmly welcomed by Offg. Principal, Ms. Sudesh Bhalla. Dr. Dua apprised the listeners of flexible implementation of design thinking which serves as a framework for designing a course, identifying challenges, gathering information, generating potential solutions, refining ideas and testing solutions. She further informed that the five stages of Design Thinking: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Test, help foster an entrepreneurial mindset and encourage them to explore new ideas and possibilities. Ms. Sudesh Bhalla, Offg. Principal, thanked the resource person for enriching the teachers and the students with the design thinking skills. She also appreciated the efforts done by the departments.

एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन ने 'डिज़ाइन थिंकिंग' पर एक दिवसीय एफ.डी.पी का किया आयोजन

दिनांक 8 सितंबर, 2023 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फ़ॉर विमैन के परिसर में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन की प्रेरणा से कॉलेज के सामाजिक विज्ञान और बी.ए,बी,एड विभागों द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से 'डिजाइन थिंकिंग’ विषय पर एक दिवसीय एफ.डी.पी का आयोजन किया गया।

प्रमुख वक्ता के रूप में डॉ. मोनिका दुआ, प्रिंसिपल, बी.सी.एम. कॉलेज ऑफ एजुकेशन, लुधियाना उपस्थित रही।

कार्यकारिणी प्राचार्या श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला ने उनका स्वागत किया ।

प्रमुख वक्ता ने शिक्षकों और छात्राओं को डिजाइन सोच के लचीले कार्यान्वयन से अवगत कराया जो पाठ्यक्रम को डिजाइन करने, चुनौतियों की पहचान करने, जानकारी इकट्ठा करने, संभावित समाधान तैयार करने, विचारों को परिष्कृत करने और समाधानों का परीक्षण करने के लिए एक रूपरेखा के रूप में कार्य करता है। उन्होंने आगे बताया कि डिजाइन थिंकिंग के पांच चरणो : सहानुभूति, पारिभाषित, विचार, प्रोटोटाइप और परीक्षण, एक उद्यमशील मानसिकता को बढ़ावा देने और उन्हें नए विचारों और संभावनाओं का पता लगाने के लिए प्रोत्साहित करने में मदद करते हैं। एफ.डी.पी में कॉलेज के शिक्षकों, छात्राओं और एस.डी.पी शैक्षणिक संस्थानों अर्थात एस.डी.पी. कॉलेजिएट गर्ल्स सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, एस.डी.पी. सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, हजूरी रोड, एस.डी.पी. सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल, बस्ती जोधेवाल और श्री. ओ.पी. गुप्ता मॉडल सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल और श्री. राम लाल भसीन पब्लिक स्कूल, दुगरी, लुधियाना के शिक्षकों ने भाग लिया।

कार्यकारिणी प्राचार्या श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला ने शिक्षकों और छात्राओं को डिज़ाइन सोच कौशल से समृद्ध करने के लिए प्रमुख वक्ता को धन्यवाद दिया। उन्होंने विभागों द्वारा किये गये प्रयासों की सराहना भी की।
