SDP College for Women continues to observe the Non-Violence Week
Under the guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, esteemed President S.D.P. Sabha and College Managing Committee, Department of languages, SDP College for Women organized Creative Writing Competition on the commencement of Non-violence Week. On the second day of this Week, Department of Social Sciences, B.A.B.Ed. and NSS organized a Nukkad Natak. In this dramatic show, the student trope presented the prevailing issue of injustice and violence happening against females in the society as well as informed the girl students about various ways in which they can safeguard themselves. Department of Music celebrated the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi on the third day of Non-violence week wherein students sang melodious songs and “Bhajans” to remember the Father of the Nation and the role he played in the making of Modern India. On the fourth day, Department of NSS inaugurated two days cleanliness camp wherein various cleanliness activities including Pot Painting were carried out in the College Campus in order to make the Campus clean and beautiful. Moreover, the Department of Home Science also organized an Interclass Cooking Competition to observe World Heart Day wherein students prepared various heart friendly recipes by using natural plant based foods. Offg. Principal, Ms. Sudesh Bhalla, applauded the efforts done by the students and the faculty members.
