SDP College for Women and SDP Collegiate Girls Sr. Sec. School Observe ‘World AIDS Day’
Under the sole inspiration of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, “World AIDS Day” was observed by SDP College For Women and SDP Collegiate Girls Sr. Sec. School, Ludhiana, on the campus, today. To mark the day, a poster making activity was organised by the NSS and NCC Department and Red Ribbon Club of the College in collaboration with Collegiate School. Students created beautiful posters on this year's theme “Let Communities Lead” and were appreciated for their creative outlook. Followed by an enlightening lecture which was delivered by Dr. Arun Prabha, Assistant Professor of Home Science and Member of Red Ribbon Club. She raised awareness among the students about this zoonotic disease of Aids and contracting HIV that spread this deadly disease. She emphasized the need to adopt a system approach and promote safe medication practices such as barrier method and regular checkups as to reduce the chances of contracting HIV. Moreover, various informative videos on the consequences and prevention of this grave disease was shown students. Lastly, the session was concluded with students taking a pledge to keep spreading awareness among the citizens of society. Ms. Sudesh Bhalla, Offg. Principal felicitated the winners and appreciated the efforts done by the NSS and NCC Department, Red Ribbon Club and Collegiate faculty.
एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन और एस.डी.पी कॉलेजिएट गर्ल्स सीनियर सेकेंडरी स्कूल ने मनाया 'विश्व एड्स दिवस'
दिनांक 1 दिसंबर, 2023 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन जी की प्रेरणा से आज कॉलेज परिसर में एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन और एस.डी.पी कॉलेजिएट गर्ल्स सीनियर सेकेंडरी द्वारा "विश्व एड्स दिवस" मनाया गया। इस दिन को चिह्नित करने के लिए कॉलेजिएट स्कूल के सहयोग से कॉलेज के एन.एस.एस, एन.सी.सी विभाग और रेड रिबन क्लब द्वारा एक पोस्टर मेकिंग गतिविधि का आयोजन किया गया। छात्राओं ने इस वर्ष की थीम "समुदायों को नेतृत्व करने दें" पर सुंदर पोस्टर बनाए और उनके रचनात्मक दृष्टिकोण के लिए उनकी सराहना की गई। इसके बाद एक ज्ञानवर्धक व्याख्यान दिया गया जो गृह विज्ञान के सहायक प्रोफेसर और रेड रिबन क्लब के सदस्य डॉ. अरुण प्रभा द्वारा दिया गया। उन्होंने छात्राओं में एड्स की बीमारी और इस घातक बीमारी को फैलाने वाले एच.आई.वी संक्रमण के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाई। उन्होंने एच.आई.वी संक्रमण की संभावना को कम करने के लिए एक सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण अपनाने और नियमित जांच जैसी सुरक्षित दवा प्रथाओं को बढ़ावा देने की आवश्यकता पर जोर दिया। इसके अलावा छात्राओं को इस गंभीर बीमारी के परिणामों और रोकथाम पर विभिन्न जानकारीपूर्ण वीडियो दिखाए गए। अंत में छात्राओं द्वारा समाज के नागरिकों के बीच जागरूकता फैलाते रहने की शपथ लेने के साथ सत्र का समापन हुआ। कार्यकारिणी प्राचार्या श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला ने विजेताओं को सम्मानित किया और एन.एस.एस, एन.सी.सी विभाग, रेड रिबन क्लब और कॉलेजिएट प्रवक्ताओं द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना की।
