SDP College for Women celebrates Basant Panchami

Under the expert guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, Basant Panchami was celebrated with full vivacity and festivity by the Department of Music in collaboration with the Department of Home Science, SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. To mark the onset of the spring season, students of Music department sang melodious songs ‘Veena Vadini Var De’ invoking the blessings of the Goddess Saraswati - an epitome of Knowledge, wisdom and art. Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and Dr.  Neetu Handa, Principal applauded the efforts put in by the Department of Music and Home Science for the super-successful organization of the event. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal prayed to Goddess Saraswati for the well being and prosperity of all. She also motivated the students to become progressive learners. The event concluded with the distribution of yellow Prasad among all.

ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਬਲਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਭਸੀਨ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ. ਸਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਰ ਮਾਰਗਦਰਸ਼ਨ ਹੇਠ, ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਅਤੇ  ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ, ਦੁਆਰਾ  ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ. ਕਾਲਜ ਫਾਰ ਵੂਮੈਨ, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ਬਸੰਤ ਪੰਚਮੀ ਮਨਾਈ ਗਈ। ਬਸੰਤ ਰੁੱਤ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਲਈ, ਸੰਗੀਤ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੇ ਗਿਆਨ, ਬੁੱਧੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ - ਦੇਵੀ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ 'ਵੀਣਾ ਵਾਦੀਨੀ ਵਰ ਦੇ' ਸੁਰੀਲੇ ਗੀਤ ਗਾਏ। ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਬਲਰਾਜ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਭਸੀਨ, ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ, ਐਸ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਸਭਾ ਅਤੇ ਡਾ. ਨੀਤੂ ਹਾਂਡਾ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਸੁਪਰ-ਸਫਲ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਲਈ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਅਤੇ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਵਿਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਡਾ. ਨੀਤੂ ਹਾਂਡਾ, ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਨੇ ਦੇਵੀ ਸਰਸਵਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਭਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਖੁਸ਼ਹਾਲੀ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਗਤੀਸ਼ੀਲ ਸਿੱਖਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਬਣਨ ਲਈ ਵੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਪਨ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪੀਲਾ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਾਦ ਵੰਡਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਇਆ।
