Under the expert guidance of Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha & College Managing Committee, the sacred Martyrdom of Mahatma Gandhi ji was observed by the Department of Hindi and Punjabi, SDP College for Women on January 30, 2025. On this occasion, a Poetical Recitation activity was organised wherein students recited wonderful poems dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi’s life. Ms. Nivedita Arora, Assistant Professor in Hindi in her thought-provoking speech, motivated the students to practice honesty, peace and self-discipline and everlasting values in their daily life. To mark the day, a creative Poster Making activity was also organised where students showcased their artistic talent by making inspirational posters on Gandhi’s ideals of truth, non-violence and peace. Dr. Neetu Handa, Principal applauded the efforts of both the departments. She further urged the students to follow the path of truth, unity and integrity. She also encouraged them to take part in such activities.
