  SDP Collegiate School Girls Shine Bright in 10+2 PanjabBoard Examination,2024

The diligent students of SDP Collegiate Girls Sr. Sec. School, under SDP College for Women Campus, Ludhiana have once again achieved 100% results in the recent 10+2 Punjab Board Examination examinations held in March, 2024. Km. Sonam ( from Arts) clinched Ist position in school Khushboo (from Arts) bagged IInd position in school Followed by Km. Mitali(from Medical) who stood IIIrd in school. The school toppersaccredited their success to their hard work, the unwavering support of their families, and the tireless efforts of the faculty members at SDP Collegiate Girls Sr. Sec. School. Sh BalrajKumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha (Regd.) and Dr. NeetuHanda, Principal applauded the hard work of students and admired the dedication of the Collegiate Staff achieving excellent results. SDP College for Women conducts Fire & Safety Mock Drill- A Life Saving Exercise

Under the sole inspiration of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, A Fire & Safety Mock Drill was conducted in SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. A team from Punjab Fire Service, Local Bus stand, Ludhiana comprising of Mr. Dheeraj Sharma, Fire Officer, Mr. Pavittar Singh, Driver Operator, Mr. Saurabh Bhagat, Fireman and Mr. Manjinder Singh, Fireman carried out the mock drill to prepare students and teachers for any such eventuality under the fire risk reduction programme. Mr. Dheeraj Sharma, Fire Officer, delivered an informative lecture on the safety measures to be adopted during different types of fire emergency, the use of fire extinguishers and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such emergency situation. The students and staff members participated with great enthusiasm and gained the knowledge attentively. Offg. Principal, Sudesh Bhalla, applauded the efforts done by the experienced team for raising awareness about fire fighting rescue operation.

 एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फॉर विमैन ने फायर एंड सेफ्टी मॉक ड्रिल - एक जीवन रक्षक अभ्यास का किया आयोजन

दिनांक 23 अगस्त, 2023 स्थानीय एस.डी.पी कॉलेज फ़ॉर विमैन के परिसर में सभाध्यक्ष श्री बलराज कुमार भसीन की प्रेरणा से कॉलेज में एक फायर एंड सेफ्टी मॉक ड्रिल आयोजित की गई। पंजाब फायर सर्विस, स्थानीय बस स्टैंड, लुधियाना की एक टीम जिसमें श्री धीरज शर्मा, फायर ऑफिसर, श्री पवित्तर सिंह, ड्राइवर ऑपरेटर, श्री सौरभ भगत, फायरमैन और श्री मनजिंदर सिंह, फायरमैन शामिल थे, ने अग्नि जोखिम न्यूनीकरण कार्यक्रम के तहत ऐसी किसी भी घटना के लिए छात्राओं और शिक्षकों को तैयार करने के लिए मॉक ड्रिल की। अग्निशमन अधिकारी श्री धीरज शर्मा ने विभिन्न प्रकार की आग की आपात स्थिति के दौरान अपनाए जाने वाले सुरक्षा उपायों, अग्निशामक यंत्रों के उपयोग और ऐसी आपातकालीन स्थिति के समय तेजी से प्रतिक्रिया करने के तरीकों पर एक जानकारीपूर्ण व्याख्यान दिया। छात्राओं और शिक्षकों ने बड़े उत्साह के साथ भाग लिया और महत्वपूर्ण ज्ञान प्राप्त किया। कार्यकारिणी प्राचार्या श्रीमती सुदेश भल्ला ने अग्निशमन बचाव अभियान के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए अनुभवी टीम द्वारा किए गए प्रयासों की सराहना की।

It is a matter of great honour that Km. Kumkum, BCA IVth Sem of SDP College for Women got first position in College by securing 297/400 (74.25%) marks whereas Km. Reetika got second position in College by getting 293/400 (73.25%) marks followed by  Srishti who got third position in College with 291/400 (72.75%) marks. The College Principal Dr. Ravi Kant appreciated the students for their achievements. Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha & SDP College Managing Committee and staff members congratulated the students and wished them luck for their future endeavour.

A magnificent 52nd Annual Athletic Meet was organized by SDP College for Women amidst lot of enthusiasm, passion and vigour. Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP College & SDP Sabha (Regd.) was the Chief Guest for the Closing Session. Sh Rajinder Soi was the Guest of Honour for the morning session. He unfurled the college flag, took salute from a well synchronized March past contingents, and declared the meet open.

The members, who graced the occasion, were Sh H.K. Chugh, Gen, Sec., Sh Rajinder Soi, Sh Vijay Inder Gupta, Sh Dhari Shah Singla, Mr. Parveen Verma, Sh Rajinder Kumar Talwar, Sh Jasveer Chauhan, Principal and Dr. Sanjeev Bindra, Principal. The Chief Guest was accorded a very warm welcome by the Members of the Management and the College Principal, Dr. Ravi Kant. The students presented Aerobics exercises and cultural item like Giddha. Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President addressed the students and motivated them to participate in sports. He also enlightened the students about the importance of sports and games in day-to-day life.

Sh. Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President and other dignitaries honoured the players and winners of various events with certificates and Cash prizes. Sh HK Chugh, Gen. Sec. thanked the guests for their benign presence.

Under the able guidance of Sh Balraj Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, a ‘Code-O-Fiesta: an inter class competition of Debugging’ was organized by the Department of Computer Science, SDP College for Women, Daresi Road. 17 teams participated in this competition enthusiastically. The College Principal appreciated the efforts of organizing team and participants. Certificates were also given at the end of the event.

Under the able guidance of Sh. Balraj Bhasin, President, SDP College for Women and Sabha (Regd.), the Annual Alumni Meet was organized by the Alumni Association of SDP College for Women on 12th March, 2022 in the college premises. Dr. Ashwani Bhalla, the Chief Guest for the occasion, addressed the alumni to promote admissions in college. He also encouraged the current students to achieve greater heights in their life. The Ex-students were honoured by the College Principal. The present students displayed a variety of cultural events like Bhajan, Group Songs, Group Dance, etc. The old students too participated in the event with great enthusiasm. They also re-energized their past memories about their teachers and friends. The ambience was filled with nostalgic memories, laughter and joy of friendship. Dr. Ravi Kant, Principal, expressed his gratitude to the Alumni for making it a remarkable success.

Under the able guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, an ‘On the Spot Teaching Aid Preparation’ Competition was organized by the Department of BAB.Ed, SDP College for Women, Daresi Road, Ludhiana. Students of BAB.ED VIIIth Sem took part in this competition enthusiastically. They were divided in 8 teams. Students showcased their talent of teaching in the competition through various teaching-Learning aids for winning the competition. Dr. Ravi Kant, the Principal of College, appreciated the efforts of organizing team and participants. He also encouraged them to take part in co-curricular activities. To honour womanhood, the students recited poems. They also shared their views enthusiatically. The College Principal, Dr. Ravi Kant congratulated everyone and he also appreciated the efforts done by the Department of Social Sciences. Certificates were also given to participants on this occasion.

It is a matter of great privilege that Geetika of SDP college for Women, M.Com 2nd Sem got first position in college by securing 1238/1400(88.42%), whereas Timcy got second position in college with 1217/1400(86.92%), followed by Pallavi with 1207/1400(86.21%). The College Principal, Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha & SDP college managing committee and staff members congratulated the students and wished them luck for their future endeavor.

Under the able guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, a workshop on Calligraphy was organized by the Department of Fine Arts, SDP College for Women, Daresi Road, Ludhiana. During this workshop students were told about how to write in modern calligraphy style by using a regular pen or pencil. Students were also made aware about career in Calligraphy. Dr. Ravi Kant, Principal appreciated the efforts done by the department of Fine Arts.

Under the able guidance of Sh Balraj Kumar Bhasin, President, SDP Sabha and College Managing Committee, an online Interclass Cooking Competition was organized by the   Department of Home Science, SDP College for Women, Ludhiana. The theme of the competition was to prepare protein rich foods to immunize from Covid-19. Students from various streams prepared different types of healthy food and displayed their culinary skills in making nutritious food. The Principal appreciated the participants for their efforts and motivated them to take part in co-academic events.
